Principal & Co-Founder
A Principal and co-founder of BerlinRosen and oversees the firm’s Campaign and Creative Services practices. In that capacity she leads a team of creative and media professionals who design and produce award winning direct mail, television, radio and online advertising that has helped candidates and organizations at the local, state and federal level win elections, pass laws and build their brand.
In 2005, Valerie co-founded BerlinRosen with Jonathan Rosen, together building the company from a two-person start-up to a team of one hundred professionals in New York and Washington serving leading corporate, labor, non-profit, political and crisis clients in the New York metropolitan area and throughout the country.
Prior to founding BerlinRosen, Valerie spent over twenty years as an organizer, campaign manager and senior communications adviser to candidates, elected officials and issue campaigns, winning ground breaking victories for women’s health and campaign finance reform and helping to elect dozens of progressive elected officials at the local, state and federal level.

In 2005, Jonathan co-founded BerlinRosen with Valerie Berlin, building the company from a two-person start-up to a team of one hundred professionals in New York and Washington serving leading corporate, non-profit, political and crisis clients in the New York metropolitan area and throughout the country. In 2012, Crain’s New York Business named him to its “40 Under 40” list of New York leaders, noting that in “just six-plus years (BerlinRosen)…has grown into a team of strategists that is in the middle of campaigns shaping public policy in the city, the state and increasingly the country.”
Jonathan is a graduate of NYU School of Law and lives in Park Slope, Brooklyn with his wife, Debbie, and their two young children.

A Managing Director at BerlinRosen, Alex Navarro-McKay is a veteran war room strategist who manages BerlinRosen’s campaign consulting and creative services group. His work focuses on campaigns for political and advocacy clients – building plans to win and developing paid media – direct mail, radio, TV and digital media. At BerlinRosen, Alex has been the lead consultant for more than four dozen winning statewide, congressional, state legislative and local campaigns.
Prior to Berlin Rosen, Alex helped shape and implement communications and policy strategy for national, state and local political campaigns. He has worked closely with unions and grassroots groups to advance issue campaigns, independent expenditures and ballot initiatives. His diverse background includes the practice of law, service on the staff of the New York City Council, and work with a national polling firm.
Alex lives with his wife Kate and children, Avi and Eliora, in Park Slope. He serves on the board of the NYC Arts in Education Roundtable and as treasurer for the advisory board of the St. Mary’s Boys Secondary School in Nyeri, Kenya.

Senior Vice President, Digital
Josh is a veteran digital strategist who leads BerlinRosen’s digital consulting group. Josh’s experience covers state, national and international politics, public affairs, philanthropy, labor and non-profit organizations.
Prior to joining BerlinRosen, Josh was a Managing Director at CLS Strategies in Washington, DC where he developed digital strategies for regulatory and public affair campaigns and advised political candidates and parties on three continents.
In 2012, Josh served as the Pennsylvania Digital Director for President Obama’s re-election campaign. He helped mobilize thousands of volunteers and voters through creative online engagement efforts and built one of the largest state social media followings for President Obama in the country. Josh has also led digital strategy for elected officials and organizations including former U.S. Senator Russ Feingold and Progressives United.

Senior Vice President
Roman is a Vice President in BerlinRosen’s campaign and creative services division, specializes in campaign strategy and direct mail. Roman’s long and deep experience as a campaign manager and consultant informs his work on campaigns across the country. He is point for the firm on our political work in Maryland, Missouri and Texas.
Before becoming a consultant, Roman managed campaigns in Georgia, Minnesota and Virginia, he served as Chief of Staff to Congressman John Barrow and was the Deputy National Development Director for the American-Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC).

Senior Vice President
A New York native and veteran of rural, suburban, and urban campaigns, Isaac has a keen understanding of what it takes to win as a Democrat in unfriendly terrain. Before joining Berlin Rosen, Isaac served as a general strategic consultant to Democratic candidates, campaign manager for Nassau County DA Madeline Singas’s unexpected victory, for Rep. Steve Israel’s 2014 reelection campaign, and as field director for US Senator Joe Donnelly’s surprise 2012 victory.

As the Art Director at BerlinRosen, Michael translates strategies and concepts into compelling design solutions. His command of design combined with his passion for visual storytelling ensures that every project he touches is both strategically grounded and visually impactful.
Prior to joining BerlinRosen, Michael worked as a Senior Designer at Vibe magazine, where he conceptualized and designed layouts and graphics for various sections of the magazine and its website, as well as contributing to the award-winning redesign of the magazine. Michael’s work has been featured in major design publications, including the Society of Publication Designers.
Michael lives with his wife Rachel and daughter Lillian in Jackson Heights, Queens.

Deputy Art Director
Jenna is a Deputy Art Director on BerlinRosen’s Campaign and Creative Services team. In collaboration with a team of designers, copywriters and account executives, Jenna uses her extensive background in layout design and photography to create dynamic print material and branding for political campaigns and nonprofit groups.
Prior to joining BerlinRosen, Jenna worked as a designer and art director at a variety of newspaper publications across the Midwest and East Coast. Most recently, she served as Presentation Editor for The Press of Atlantic City, where she facilitated a complete redesign of their daily newspaper publication and helped launch an award-winning monthly food magazine.
Jenna is a New Jersey native and graduate of Syracuse University, were she studied graphic design and journalism. She is a proud cat owner who loves road trips, knitting and The Beatles.

Senior Copywriter & Brand Strategist
Ximena leads our copywriting team. She is an experienced communications professional with a deep passion for making the world a better place. Crafting effective messages, executing multi-channel campaigns and developing standout brand strategies for a range of progressive candidates and causes is her specialty.
Vice President, Digital
As a Vice President in BerlinRosen’s digital consulting group, Quincey works across the firm’s practice areas to integrate digital strategies that reach targeted audiences and encourage action. Quincey manages the development and rollout of innovative digital advertising campaigns, website rollouts, and social media projects. Quincey’s clients have included the Ford Foundation, Actor’s Equity, the Atlantic Philanthropies, MGMA, Forest City Ratner Companies, 92Y, and the U.S. Wildlife Trafficking Alliance.
Quincey has extensive experience developing online donor engagement programs having served as the digital project director on Wendy Davis’ campaign for Texas governor, during which he helped cultivate tens of thousands of grassroots supporters to take online action. He has a deep experience engaging the LGBTQ community around electoral candidates and issue-based initiatives. Quincey also provided strategic digital and communications support to numerous successful advocacy campaigns, including for clients focused on environmental, human rights and public health issues, while at Fenton. In 2012, he worked on President Obama’s successful reelection campaign in Colorado.

Emily is an Account Executive in BerlinRosen’s campaign consulting and creative services group, where she brings together a wide range of experience in politics, communications and design to craft winning strategies.
Before joining BerlinRosen, Emily worked as the Creative Director for a number of campaigns in the San Francisco Bay Area, including Rebecca Kaplan’s 2014 campaign for Mayor of Oakland. While studying political economy at UC Berkeley, Emily ran the Cal in Local Government program as an AmeriCorps Fellow and worked as design editor for The Daily Californian.
A native Californian, Emily is an aficionado of board games, travel and unusual pizza recipes.

Erin is an Account Coordinator for our campaigns team, bringing experience in communications from across a wide array of progressive public service organizations.
Prior to joining BerlinRosen, she interned with UN Women’s Media Relations and Advocacy team. Erin also previously worked for Hillary for America in Ohio, the Peace Corps on the Let Girls Learn initiative and for the minority leader of the Ohio House of Representatives.

Associate Account Executive
Haley is an Associate Account Executive on BerlinRosen’s Campaigns and Creative Services team. She joins BerlinRosen after leading communications at Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America (IAVA), a renowned veterans advocacy organization.
Haley is an experienced communicator and campaigner, and worked on Congressman Seth Moulton’s successful 2014 campaign, as a Field Organizer and later Finance Director.
